Job Description:
Hoffman Early Learning Center is searching for Infant and
Toddler/PreSchool Early Educators for the current School
Year. Infant and Toddler Early Educators are responsible for
maintaining a loving, kind, rigorous, and joyful learning environment
for children and families. If you are relentless about seeing young
children achieve at high levels, this is a chance to work at an early
learning center that does whatever it takes to ensure success for all children.
Background:
New Orleans College Prep’s (NOCP) mission is to prepare students with
academic and life skills for success in college, career, and beyond.
For 10+ years, NOCP has grown from a single grade of 100 students, to
now operating 3 schools spanning Birth (6 weeks) to 12th grade and
serving over 1,400 students.
In June 2017, NOCP expanded its existing early learning program at
John W. Hoffman to establish a large, world-class early learning
center that meets the needs of a growing, socioeconomically diverse
population in New Orleans. The early learning center serves children
aged 0 - 4 and offers an unparalleled array of enriching, experiential
learning experiences for children. 50% of the seats are funded through
Head Start, offered only to low income children, and 50% of the seats
are tuition-based, offered on a sliding scale of tuition rates based
on family income. With this unique model, we are creating a preschool
that is truly accessible to all families, regardless of income, and
expand early childhood capacity in our city.
