Job Description:


We are searching for a Director of Data for our charter management organization. If you are relentless about seeing disadvantaged students achieve at high levels, this is a chance to help be a part of a network that does whatever it takes to ensure college success for all children. The Director of Data will oversee the development of data systems and reports that better inform leadership to improve school performance, both for academic and non-academic work, across the New Orleans College Prep network.

Experience and Skills:

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain data trackers for quarterly benchmark exams that allow schools to identify trends across individual students, classes, standards, and the school as a whole.

  • Ensure that leaders have the tools to manage progress towards state accountability targets

  • Increase team sustainability and efficiency through automation of tasks and analysis

  • Facilitate collaboration and professional development by identifying best practices across schools

  • Build internal capacity in leaders, teachers and students to set goals based on historical data

  • Build internal capacity in leaders, teachers and students to use data in order to hold themselves accountable for performance

  • Build systems and capacity so that schools hold themselves accountable to 100% of data deadlines

  • Oversee all processes ensuring accuracy of federal and state reporting to the Louisiana Department of Education via state systems (SIS, PEP, HCS, CUR, and STS).

  • Build capacity in leaders and teachers to explore and discover trends that drive student achievement

  • Serve as network testing coordinator for the organization

Key Competencies & Qualifications

  • An unwavering belief that all students can achieve at high levels and commitment to do whatever it takes for all our students to be college-ready;

  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Visual Basic, Crystal Reports, SPSS or other comparable systems

  • Proficiency with school systems such as PowerSchool, SchoolRunner, Edusoft, STEP, NWEA MAP and iSTEEP preferred

  • Experience with Louisiana State Reporting preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Advanced statistical analysis skills

  • Exceptional organizational ability, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task successfully in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to create, monitor, and maintain systems that enhance organizational efficiency;

  • Flexible, able to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed.

  • Teaching experience preferred

  • Experience working in a low-income neighborhood highly preferred.
