Job Description:

Opportunity:

New Orleans College Prep is searching for a Finance Clerk. The Finance Clerk will work to support all financial operations, including accounting, controls, reporting, and reimbursements, so that our leaders make effective and efficient financial decisions that maximize student outcomes. This position will report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain quotes and process purchases based on requests from schools
  • Prepare and track purchase orders
  • Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
  • Input account coding and ensure purchases are within budget
  • Prepare budget reports for school accounts
  • Receive invoices and link with purchase orders
  • Assist with account reconciliations
  • Communicate with vendors, customers and colleagues
  • Report the status of accounts and discrepancies
  • Serves as front office greeter at various school sites

Experience and Skills:

Competencies Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Finance / Accounting. Coursework in accounting, finance or equivalent preferred.
  • Attention to detail: does not let important details slip through the cracks; meticulous
  • Tenacious follow-up skills, follows through on commitments
  • Ability to organize materials in a logical and compelling manner
  • Ability to follow directions and work unsupervised on multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to filter and manipulate data, and perform interactive analysis in Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Outlook (scheduling, calendar, contact functions), Word, and PowerPoint

Benefits

Compensation:

The salary for this position is between $35,000 - $45,000, and commensurate with experience.  NOCP also offers a competitive compensation package, including generous retirement contributions and comprehensive health benefits.
